The 2012 Grant Thornton international transparency report is a public statement of our commitment to provide high quality assurance services to organisations operating throughout the world. This report is designed to help our many stakeholders (including clients, audit committees, regulators and the general public ) understand our global organisation –our governance and management structure and how Grant Thornton delivers high quality assurance services throughout the world.

Our combined global revenues to 30 September 2010 were $ 3.7 billion a healthy increase of 2.3% from 2009. Our assurance services account for around 46% of our global revenues. Revenues from tax services at $ 816m were up 6.9% from 2009 and accounted for 22% of aggregate US dollar revenues.

The combined global revenues to 30 September 2009 were $3.6 billion – steady for the year measured at constant exchange rates but a decline of 9% from 2008 when adjusted for exchange rate fluctuations against the US dollar. Significantly, more than half of the global revenues are now generated by member firms outside of the UK and US, with China and Brazil now amongst the 12 largest countries by revenue in the organization.

The Transparency Report 2009 was created to present to customers and the public our global organization. The document shows how we work and ensure the high quality of our services in the areas of audit, tax and business advisory.

In the past financial year we generated from our circa 100 member firms with more than 30,000 experts and partners on all continents combined sales of U.S. $ 4 billion.
